The influence of strontium on bone metabolism has been researched since the 1950’s. Strontium is a naturally occurring mineral present in water and food. Trace amounts of strontium are found in the human skeleton. While all of the various forms have a bioavailability of between 25 and 30%, gastric tolerance is reportedly better with strontium citrate9, the form used in Strontium BoneMaker.
Strontium has an affinity for bone and is taken up at the bone matrix crystal surface. Studies indicate that strontium positively affects bone metabolism to promote bone formation and decrease bone resorption, leading to normalized bone density.
Suggested Use: Take two capsules at the same time daily with or without food. Be sure to take at least the RDI of calcium and vitamin D3. Do not take this product at the same time as a calcium supplement, as these minerals may compete with each other for absorption.
Best way to take your strontium is in the morning on an empty stomach as you will digest it quickly and you can then after one hour have your breakfast and take all your vitamins. Take the two caps at the same time. If you cannot swallow capsules please open capsule and put into apple sauce but not into any dairy products as the calcium in it will compete with the Strontium Bone Maker’s absorption.

I've found this product easy to take and reasonably priced. I didn't qualify for pharmaceutical osteoporosis drugs, so this is part of my natural treatment plan. No side effects to report, but only time (and a bone scan) will tell if it's hitting the spot!
