A natural soothing emollient herb, Slippery Elm (inner) bark was used by Native Americans, and early pioneer settlers. Nature's Way Slippery Elm Bark may settle upset stomachs and irritable colons. The mucilage contained within the inner bark of the herb may have the same benefits as pharmaceutical demulcents. Tannins which are abundant throughout Nature's Way Slipper Elm act as astringents and may help stop diarrhea, and constrict tissues.
