Sambucol is actually the original formula from which all the clinical studies came from.
Natures Way had falling out with them and came up with their own product called sambucus. I for one prefer the original formula.

NW Sambucus is not a knock-off, it is the original formula and is all-natural, not like alot of the competition. Not sure where Doug came up with this, the name change was due to the Sambucol brand being sold as a "name", and an Australian firm was making Sambucol then with artificial flavoring and coloring.

I contacted www.sambucolusa.com, Sambucol is still being made and sold, it is the original. Nature's Way Sambucus is a knock off.
Nature's Way used to carry the original, then switched Nov of 2008. Health Stores, Drug Stores and Websites don't know the difference and have kept the Nature's Way thinking it was the same stuff. I recommend stay with the original, I've used it since l992, It works. Doug

We have been told by people at two websites that sell Sambucus, that Sambucol is no longer manufactured and Sambucus is now sold in it's place. This is not true. A major pharmacy chain carries Sambucol.
There is a difference between Sambucol and Sambucus. I prefer Sambucol.
