L-carnitine helps maintain cellular energy metabolism.

Ingredients & Description

LifeExtension- Nutritional Supplements, Antiaging, Health and Nutrition

L-Carnitine 500 mg, 30 capsules

L-carnitine helps maintain cellular energy metabolism by assisting in the transport of fat through the cell membrane and into the mitochondria within the cell, where fats are oxidized to produce the cellular energy ATP. A major cause of aging is deterioration of the energy-producing components of the cell, resulting in reduced cellular metabolic activity, the accumulation of cellular debris and eventually cell death.

Question: does it cause dark black or green stool? Only been on it for 2 days and the first day mu stool was dark black and the second day it was green.
    • 0 0 A: We are not aware of L-Carnitine fumarate causing black or dark green stools. Black stools can be caused sometimes by iron supplementation and the foods we eat but only your doctor can provide you the exact reasoning behind that change. Green leafy stools can happen alot when you eat alot of green leafy vegetables but to be sure you may want to talk to your doctor. Vote down - Vote up
