Holy CRAP!! This stuff has changed my life in just a week. I started using it after doing a google search for natural ulcer cures and found it mentioned along with Cabbage Juice. Since I don\'t have a juicer and the local supplements store I use had it on sale, I started taking it last week and am simply amazed. I usually wake up 2-3x a night w/ acid reflux and have not woken up once since starting! Also, I have severe reactions to foods from yogurt to pizza with no real pattern or sense to them. Since I have started DGL (and this stuff IS yummy- even my 9 year old likes \'em!) I have had no episodes whatsoever and can pretty much eat whatever I want. Since I am taking it therapeutically, I take 10-12 a day based on a study I read (below), particularly before meals. I\'ve also noticed that the typical sinus dryness and irritation I normally experience in the winter has gotten much better as has my coughing. I call it a miracle product and recommend it highly for just about anybody who has gastric issues. In this study, forty patients with chronic duodenal ulcers of 4 to 12 years duration and more than 6 relapses during the previous year were treated with DGL.21 All of the patients had been referred for surgery because of relentless pain, sometimes with frequent vomiting, despite treatment with bed rest, antacids, and powerful drugs. Half of the patients received 3 grams of DGL daily for 8 weeks; the other half received 4.5 grams per day for 16 weeks. All 40 patients showed substantial improvement, usually within 5 to 7 days, and none required surgery during the one year follow-up. Although both dosages were effective, the higher dose was significantly more effective than the lower dose. If you have ulcers and are afraid of taking Big Pharma meds, here\'s your answer!

    Question: Hello,I am really going out on a limb here, as I NEVER purchase any products from companies I merely find through Google, but I am getting a bit desperate, and I heard that the ingredients in this product work quite well.I have a moderate hiatal hernia and some reflux. I had never had anything my whole life until last year when I went to the Emergency Room twice for chest pains. My heart is fine, but they gave me no explanation. Being my own doctor, I researched it and found that many people get chest pains from acid reflux that can sometimes mimic heart attacks!I went to the Gastro and my General Physician, both of whom put me on medications that have given me adverse side effects. GI put me on Prilosec, then Dexilant -- both of which gave me joint pains (I am 24-years-old and have never had such issues). I went to my GP and she put me on Famotidine (40mg 1xday). Ever since I started any medication I started getting head pressure on my temples and on various different spots on my head (Primarily above my eyes and on the top of my head). I want to take a more natural route. I'm pretty healthy overall. I'm a Certified Fitness Trainer and volunteer firefighter, so I am (Well, was) very active and engage in exercise frequently, except for the past couple of weeks due to an injury, but that's another story.Can this product be beneficial? I don't have the reflux terribly, but my diet is pretty good. I don't drink soda, or I do so very rarely. I've cut out alcohol for the past month, since the days after I drink I get extra bad reflux for days after that feel like chest pains and my heart starts racing, sending me into an anxiety attack that I can't control, no matter what I tell myself.Anyway, is this product safe? Is your company reputable? I've had my information stolen before from other companies, which makes me skeptical.I appreciate your time and answer in advance.Sincerely,Drew

      The long term safety and efficacy of DGL has been documented. When taken at recommended dosages, DGL has been proven safe for long-term use without any adverse affects.  Licorice has a long history of use in supporting a healthy stomach and gastrointestinal system.†  It is the presence of the glycyrrhizic acid in the licorice root that is responsible for some adverse effects.  With DGL, the glycyrrhizic acid is extracted, leaving only minute amounts (less than 1%), thereby eliminating the risk of adverse effects when DGL Ultra is taken at recommended dosages.

      Please note that we do have to advise you that is best to consult with a physician first if you have any medical conditions or are taking any prescription medicines and I hope you found some answers in the information I provided.
