Betaine hydrochloride, derived from beets, supports healthy digestion..

Ingredients & Description

As we get older, our stomach tends to produce less stomach acid needed to break down the food we eat, making it hard to get the most out of our food. Betaine hydrochloride, derived from beets, supports healthy digestion. Betaine Hydrochloride creates a favorable digestive environment in the stomach by providing a supplemental source of hydrochloric acid. Fenugreek also aids digestion.*

Question: Is the HCL really derived from beets or is it synthetic? Besides the gelain capsule, are there any other animal products in this supplement?
    • Admin Answer0 0 A: Betaine HCL is the acidic form of hydrocholoric acid which derivitive comes from beets. It assists in the body's natural stomach acids to aid in digestion and absorption of proteins, calcium, B12, and iron. It can lower the ph level of the stomach's hydrocholoric acid and help release proteases which may destroy ingested bacterias and microorganisms. There are no harmful additives or animal products involved in the making of this supplement. Vote down - Vote up
