Ancient Beauty Mist blends proprietary ORME Monatomic elements and minerals with Hyaluronic Acid, all-natural anti-oxidants, and 78 ionic trace minerals in a zinc base.
What is Hyaluronic Acid and what can it do for the skin?
Hyaluronic Acid is a complex sugar found naturally in all mammals. It is found in the layer of skin beneath the epidermis, called the dermis and has 3 components: collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.
With age, exposure to environmental pollutants and the Sun, skin cells gradually produce less and less Hyaluronic Acid. As a person gets older, the skin becomes more dehydrated, the collagen and elastin structures break down, and the skin loses volume. This results in folds and wrinkles - common signs of aged skin. Hyaluronic Acid plays an important role in transporting elements and minerals to skin cells. It also has the ability to hold water like a sponge, up to 1000 times its own weight, boosting hydration levels and increasing the volume and density of skin.
